Brighton Blue is a semi-soft cheese with a mellow blue flavour and a slightly salty finish. The cheese is aged in our Maturing Room for 6-8 weeks and this allows the classic blue veins to develop and add the distinctive flavour we enjoy. Brighton Blue is a well-rounded blue cheese that does not overpower the palette, making it an inviting option on any cheeseboard or for cooking with.
We were delighted to receive a Gold for Brighton Blue at the Artisan Cheese Award in Melton Mowbray on 15th May 2026. The cheese has won numerous other awards including Super Gold’s at the World Cheese Awards in 2017-18 (Italy) and 2019-20 (Wales), and Gold’s at the International Cheese Awards in 2023 and 2024 and at the World Cheese Awards 2025 in Switzerland.
Cheese Facts
The promotion of mould within the cheese is created by piercing the cheese with long needles to create air passages that allow the mould to grow.
