To celebrate the production of our 500th batch of Brighton Blue we’re running a competition to win an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to our Dairy and a cheese tasting.

We are proud to have made our 500th Batch of Brighton Blue on 10th April 2025. The cheese has been maturing in our Cheese Store and is now packed and available for you to enjoy! Keep an eye out for the ‘500th’ label on the front of the cheese packaging, or look on the back label where the Batch Number is listed at the bottom.
Brighton Blue has become our best known cheese, winning numerous national and international awards since we first made it in 2005. It has become a staple for those looking for an enjoyable semi-soft blue that doesn’t overpower the palette while having the perfect creamy yet firm consistency.

How to Enter our Competition
To enter the competition take a picture of a piece of Brighton Blue that you have purchased and email this to us, or tag us in an image on social media.
Feel free to be as creative and fun as you wish, or simply show us your favourite way to enjoy Brighton Blue in a dish or on a cheeseboard. The picture can be of just the cheese, or it can include people.
The closing date is Friday 1st August and the winners will be selected on Monday 4th August. This will be shared on social media.

The Prizes
The main prize is an exclusive tour of our Dairy and cheese tasting, for up to four people. The experience will take the group inside parts of the Dairy not normally accessible, including the Making Room and the Cheese Store, and they will get to meet our team and to have a tasting of a selection of our cheeses.
Three runners-up will win a ‘Cheesemakers Favourites’ Hamper, as shown – see what’s inside.

Terms and Conditions
- By entering the competition the entrant grants permission for Sussex High Weald Dairy Ltd to use their image on social media, in the promotion of the competition and/or future promotions of Brighton Blue cheese.
- By entering the competition, via email, the entrant will be added to Sussex High Weald Dairy Ltd’s email newsletter. The entrant may opt out of receiving the email newsletters by stating ‘No newsletters’ when submitting their competition entry.
- The closing date for entries is Friday 1st August 2025. Any entries received after the closing of the competition will be invalid and will not be entered into the competition.
- Employees of Sussex High Weald Dairy are not permitted to enter.
- Cheese Hampers will only be sent to residents living in the Mainland UK.
- The Exclusive Tour will take place on a week day. If attending on a weekday is not possible for the winner then a Sunday tour as part of ‘Cheese Tours’ Sunday group tour will be offered.
- Sussex High Weald Dairy Ltd will attempt to notify the winner on Monday 4th August 2025. He/she will be contacted via the email address or social media account provided when entering the competition. The winner will have one week to contact Sussex High Weald Dairy Ltd and claim his or her prize. If the winner does not reply by midnight on Monday 14th August then another winner will be chosen.
- If the winner of the Tour would prefer a selection of cheese, due to their location or any other reason, then a ‘Cheesemakers Favourites’ hamper will be sent to them.
- Sussex High Weald Dairy Ltd reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Competition in whole or in part, at its sole discretion.
- The prize has no alternate monetary value.

- By submitting their personal details, the entrant agrees to Sussex High Weald Dairy Ltd processing those details in accordance with the purposes made known to the entrant at the time of collection and in accordance with Sussex High Weald Dairy Ltd’s Privacy Policy.
- Sussex High Weald Dairy Ltd shall comply with all applicable requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation, any successor legislation or other applicable law.
